The Boys Cross Country team travelled this weekend to the famous "Brenham High School HILLACIOUS 5k"
The toughest most grueling course in central Texas brings out the best of the best from 1A all the way to 6A. The Varsity boys lined up with 257 other competitors from 28 different teams. The Boys fought hard, battled, and ultimately placed 9th overall out of the 28 teams. Major PR's were set in route to the team success. The team had a 1-5 average of 17:37 with a 1-5 split of only 43 seconds. Leading the horns was Joshua Deleon, followed very closely by Daniel Hasouris. Emilio Armijo and Nathan Difalco packed up closely behind them, and William Haldeman brought in the 5th place scoring point. All 5 of the top scorers set a Personal best in the process.
The JV team took note and also placed well, finishing 10th overall out of the 28 teams. The dynamic Duo of Elijah Lybarger and Mathis Danican went toe to toe again finishing 16th and 20th respectively. Bruno Martinez was back in action, followed by Luke Garcia and Creighton Martin who rounded out the scorers for the Longhorns.
Today was a major step in the right direction for the program. The school is super proud of how these young men carried themselves, and the results they are bringging in. Keep up the GReat work Fellas!
