The boys cross country program raced this weekend at the 3rd annual LCISD XC Round Up.
The varsity team this week featured all of the seniors who have dedicated all 4 years to running cross country. Joshua Deleon, Dristin Amos, Nathan Scott, Hayes Rorie, Creighton Martin, and Maddox Minter. Led by Joshua Deleon who placed 7th overall, the boys ran very well and took 6th place as a team.
Seniors, Thank you for the many mile and many smiles you’ve given to this program. It’s been a joy to watch you all grow into some of the best men on campus. Be proud of yourself, and your accomplishments. You’re dedication to this sport for the past 4 years shows a tremendous amount of resiliency, grit, and determination. Longhorn nation is proud of you, and we can’t wait to see what differences you all make in this world! #OHOH
The JV squad turned on the burners. They were not clowning around and placed 1st as a team! Juniors Nathan Difalco and Emilio Armijo played paper scissors rock to see who would take the victory. In a heated battle, Emillio chose paper while Nathan chose scissors. Nathan is your victor! Nathan, Emilio, William Haldiman, Mathis Danican, and Trenton Welch placed 1,2,3,5,& 11th respectively.
In the freshman division, Xavier Alverez and Mason Donaldson had great success in their times. Dropping big time PR’s for the 3k race, they are showing some tremendous improvements. Watch out for them at district to disrupt the standings!
