The boys cross country team traveled to Friendswood for the Mustang Thunder invitational. The conditions and competition were very tough, but the varsity boys pulled it together and placed 10th overall as a team.
Senior Romeo Rodriguez led the team, running a personal best in the 4k distance. Joshua Deleon and Dristin Amos were close behind, and sophomores Emilio Armijo and Daniel Hasouris rounded out the point scorers. The boys ran well as a pack, and kept their team split very low!
On the JV side, the JV team pushed hard to a 9th place finish. Led by freshman William Haldeman, the guys packed up and kept their points at a minimum. Scoring members where Nathan Scott, Nathan Difalco, Trenton Welch, and Hayes Rorie.
Finally, two Freshman toed the line for the Horns. Luke Garcia and Wayland Hoffle ran a great race, both setting personal records in the 2 mile run.
The Longhorns will be back at it next week in Tomball for the BFND classic!
