This Friday the boys cross country team headed to LaPorte for the bulldog invitational. This is one of the largest invitationals that the team has been too this season. With over 30 schools and a race with 221 competitors, the varsity boys placed 12th overall. Led by sophomores Emilio Armijo (49), Daniel Hasouris (51), and Joshua Deleon (77), the boys raced hard and fought for every position. The duo of Nathan Scott(81) and Nathan Difalco(82) made a major contribution to help the team by both running personal best and staying as close to each other as possible. And Finally, Trenton Welch(102) and Hayes Rorie (153) played solid defense by racing out of their minds and stealing as many points as possible while en route to massive PR performances.
The JV boys where led by Freshman William Haldeman, who, in his 5K debut found himself in medal position with a 14th place performance. Diego Castillo, Zane Lavon, and Bruno Martinez all also had their best performance of the year.
Freshman Miguel Ortega continued his medal pursuit's by placing 13th overall in the freshman 2 mile race. Luke Garcia made a big move late in the race to secure the second spot for the team, and Geronimo Cardona had a breakout performance to help the team.
